Hi All,Have you ever seen "Engine fault!reduced Power" on your dash before?

Hi all,as the topic,my car is a 323i,when I was waiting at a traffic light today,
The Engine light displayed on the dash suddenly, and My I-Drive Screen shown Engine Fault! Reduced Power. Then,my car doesn't accelerate, even floor gas,it was moving like an Ant on the street.i spent 1 hrs from sha tin to kowloon tong.I can feel that the engine lost its power, I installed the BMS POWER BOX within 2 weeks from now.

I need some help with it! Anyone can give me some hints or solution?
I dont know what to do with it.
Should I bring it to a garage for inspection?

You just take the PBX out & send back to BMW, i have the same thing happen before, come out is the oil injector need to change but FOC, because it shall be recall by all cars back, but HK BMW only change for some one have code. So better call and ask.

I never brought mine to BMW to check, but mine came off and on for a while, my garage just fiddled with the wiring again and tightened it properly and no problem since

Same happened to me. I brought my car in to BMW HK in Tsuen Wan and they said the BMS wiring was loose. They tightened the connections for me and the warning lights disappeared.

Yes the BMS PBX was left in the car. They called me up first before touching it.

My car is 2nd hand so out of warranty. They charged me $5xxx just to inspect, find root problem and properly connected the wires to the PBX. If your car is still under warranty (even out of warranty), I suggest you to bring or tow it to a garage to fix. Highly likely is loose connection in your PBX setup. Where did you install the PBX?

I'll PM you the garage.
