Yeah, for a ship that large, she does the slalom pretty well!

I wonder if there are not possibly errors in the reported position in these log postings. I'm also beginning to wonder whether anyone can project whether there will be a delay in the NY arrival. It looks to me as if they have a long way to go, although they still have 60 hours until midnight Monday, EST. In 60 hours at their normal speed, they can cover 840 nautical miles. Is that enough (recognizing that it is now 4 pm UTC, so the last reported position is about 22 hours -- ~308 nautical miles -- old.) I seriously need to get a life.

I was wondering the same thing, but I'm trying hard not to overthink these things. I'm hoping to get the car next weekend since my dealership is quite close to the VPC. I won't hold my breath, though!

The ship better start hauling some ass if it wants to get to NY. I imagine it will arrive tomorrow night . I was hoping for morning dock, so they could unload cars asap.

According to the WW schedule, INTEGRITY is in port in NY until Tuesday, Dec. 11, so I imagine that the ship will make port rather late on Monday, and the cargo discharge and loading will happen on Tuesday. Of course, that all assumes there are no further, time-consuming course departures between now and then.

Note the island at the left of the image (Sable Island.)

re: WikiPedia: "Sable Island (French: île de Sable) is a small Canadian island situated 180 km southeast of Nova Scotia in the Atlantic Ocean. As of 2001, the island is home to around 15 people."

The island is apparently known as "The Graveyard of the Atlantic" since it's a low-visibility marine hazard that has wrecked a large number of ships.

Check out this:

The waiting is driving me crazy. Sorry for the educational bulletin.

Well, there are several ways I could pitch this.

1) The Integrity is not on that list of sunken ships!
2) The Integrity is now passing close to Canadian territory. Canada happens on the same continent that were on!
3) The 15 minutes you've spent reading my relatively incoherent posts have brought you 15 minutes closer to the delivery of your new car!

Looking at the map it's only 3 inches from port. Maybe that'll make us feel better that we're close. I still have to wait until Charleston!

I'm still trying to figure how it's going to make NYC by tomorrow evening?

I'm not sure either. I just spoke to my CA (he's a friend and I have access to him on Sundays.) He said that there is no revised arrival and departure time from the port, so everything is still reported as on-schedule.

Like Raleedy mentioned above, the cargo will most likely be off-loaded during the day on Tues.

With any luck, I'll be breathing the wonderful aroma of saddle brown leather next weekend.

She looks approx 800 miles out and the reading is at Dec 10 00:00 hours, I'm assuming this is at GMT, that was about 3 hours ago from my post, it definitely will reach port late night Monday, I would say between 20:00 and 24:00 GMT, (technically earlier in the day for us, 6 hours, so about 4pm and 6 pm CST. Just an estimation, in any case, glad she's hitting US soil, well docking to it, hitting it would be bad!

Wouldn't 800 miles or so require at least 55 hours? With some slower speeds once they reach Sandy Hook, maybe even longer. I would think 800 miles is close to a quarter of the entire trip. And as of 5 PM Sunday, CST, they'd logged some 2800 nautical miles. So I think 800 is off by a bit. Maybe by 400 miles or so?

Looked at the wrong map while I was posting, I meant 500-600 miles. I imagine there is some delay on the map as well.
