As I attempted to merge onto the highway during this beautiful 39 degree night; my car would not rev past 3k. Brutal climb to 60 mph.

I restarted the car at the first light, and everything returned to normal. When I got home I pulled code 00348A: Map Thermostat - stuck open.

My current mods: BMW Stage 1 tune, ER intercooler & CP, CSF radiator, PE.

Water pump & thermostat were replaced 2k miles ago.

Has anyone had a similar experience? My oil temp dial didn't touch off until I got home. About a 20 mile drive and that has never happened to me before... granted this is the first winter with the lower IAT
