Remotes on E90 not working

Hi all,

I have bought a used E90 320d 2005 saloon recently, knowing with the fact that the buttons on the remote don't open or close the doors of the car however it does work manually with key and when pushing to start engine. The car does not have comfort access fitted either also the spare works the same as the original. I refrained from going out and purchasing another spare from the dealers for a quoted £168 because of these two problems i noticed with the car...

1) my rear lights stopped working, so i took it to an independent garage and they showed me that the wiring was completely torn and was being held by a thread

2) it looks to me that i'm missing some part in my car either a (suppression antenna or trap circuit) whatever that is.

Finally i checked out other threads and noticed some people had water ingress in the (passive antenna) but only provided solution for the estate version of the car.

I tried to narrow down as much as possible, to find the root cause.

The rechargeable batteries in the remotes may also be dead after 8 years....

It look's like your CD changer is missing. The remote key fobs do not have replaceable batteries.
