On a Side note: Has anyone replaced their centre console. The Piano black is nice but I'd like something less prone to scratching. Anyone find a carbon fibre replacement? Maybe a matte black one?

Thinking about it. Piano black is nice minus scratches!

Can we have it changed under warranty ? I mean, it's just a bad choice of trim for the center console...we are all in the same situation and I'm pretty sure we take better care of our cars than most people do...

I got mine changed after delivery with a new piece, because of some marring that wasn't that bad anyway, but, you know...everything had to be perfect. In the meantime I worked on my own scratches, that I partially fixed with a fine polish and a blue pad.

I agree, the surface is very sensitive though, and we could switch to the clearcoated carbon fibre trim piece for, if my memory does not play games, around $350. That's oem performance and I think I will do it.

I have also briefly looked at the gloss black trim that they have (that use to be standard on the 328 coupe, what we have is Individual) and that seemed like a dark, sparkly grey plastic compared to our piano black wood. Not my cup of tea, but an option that seems to be a bit more resistant to scratches.

It's official.

My baby is a write off.

RIP.

Probably get a Audi or Caddy ATS, etc.

I can't bare the thought of owning any other BMW other then my SE.

It's been a blast on here folks. Enjoy your rides!

Well that bites big time! Hope everyone is OK.

My last car was a write off as well. That is what got me into my present one.

Find something else you like and it's all good.

Cheers

Still loving it, can't ever to find the space and place to open it up and let it snort! Going into my 4th windshield but (touch wood), no other major issues. Has anyone taken your car to a detailer yet?

I love that sound!

Car is great, no problems to report so far. Put the 313s back on a few weeks ago, forgot how harsh they ride compared to my winters, but I'm used to it again.

Mine is DRINKING oil lately... today it took a pint after 500 km.

Next time they bring it in to check it out.

I don't trust mine since they replaced my engine...

I'll try to pass my lease to someone else and get the new F30 Canadian Special edition in orange valencia! What do you guys think?

Had to look that one up as I had not heard of it.

http://www.autoevolution.com/bmw-blo...ion-59390.html

I personally prefer the styling - both interior and exterior - of the e90 over the f30, but that looks like a suitable replacement.

I had an offer from BMW recently to buy back my car in trade for a great deal on a new f30. Didn't even consider it.

The f30 is pretty nice. Great value on these SE models. Colors are a bit crazy for a non-m car but I'd probably go for it as well!

They had a 1M at my dealer in (I think) Valencia Orange and it looked sweet. Mostly I like variations of black and white for my cars.

I really like the "frozen" colors as well, but those are still M-only AFAIK.

As for the run-flats, have not noticed abnormal wear, but I don't put on a lot of mileage. Had my car for 14 months and only have 12K on it, half of that on the winters. Hopefully won't be needing tires anytime soon.
