Who all out there is in MD?
Im thinking we should have a meet sometime this summer, I don't get mine until July though, this eight week production time sucks! lol

So post up if you are in MD and are down to meet up, say in, central MD somewhere.

Majick... as you may know DC Metro folks are having a bbq Meet at RiverBend Park 26 May at noon Sat of the Memorial wkend. We have folks coming from Richmond and Joppa is not that much further. Why dont you and folks like yourself try making the Meet. Most folks coming are like yourself, new with the meet and recently just got their cars.

The list is growing, it will be fun and we'll be looking for you!

NoVA, DC, Baltimore (southern Md) is just like the Connecticut, Northern NJ, Metro NYC area..except for the amount of people and the amount of cabbies.

You see!!!! I tell you... we can't even have one thread without a Virginian posting something!!!

There is no problem with VA or NoVA for that matter, but maybe people who live in Germantown, MD, or Frederick, MD would also like to have "BMW get togethers" just like you guys in NoVA, but within a reasonable distance. Not everybody has time to be travelling hours for just a few beers!!

I go up to Germantown and Rockville quiet often from Vienna, VA. It's like 25min drive in non-rush hour. I am sure we can all get together, seriously. It's not hours, just 1 hr. tops.

Somehow, we were driving the scenic roads of great falls, and after 2 hours you caught up to us...don't say you cannot cover 25 miles in under an hour...you must have been doing Knight Rider like (250mph) speeds to catch us, so no bitching about distances...

Usually "happy hour" gtg are during rush hour! I don't think it would take just an hour of a drive from Frederick to Springfield, where the past and next meet is...

The traffic is not bad at all after 7:30pm on 495, where are you coming from? Frederick, MD? Do you work near DC? Maybe you can come after work?

Hey that is supposed to be on the downlow, man!!! Nobody needs to know but us!!

Anyways, I am mostly trying to make a point for others. I am in Bethesda, so it's really not a problem for me to get to NoVA, even my office is in Annandale, VA!!

I guess because there seem to be more of us, it's easier. For certain there is no attempt to be exclusive in any way. If you can make your way to Hard Times Springfield next Wednesday at 8 for beer and wings, the first round is on me. I know it's a hike, but traffic is better at that hour and through the city it isn't all that bad.

We'll have to work out a halfway spot in the near future, but for now, try and join us if you can.

I am definately going to try and make it... But I do believe MDers should set something up like the weekly meets in VA. We could also set something up for all of us to meet that is midway from NoVA and central MD. Majick the original poster of this thread is in Joppa, MD! That's a longer trip to NoVA then Frederick

As long as we publish what is going down on each side of the river, I don't see why some of us won't migrate from time to time. Occasionally a larger meet in the middle somewhere would be great as well.

Hope to see you Wednesday night.

I'll chime in...I agree. We should have a central MD (read: Baltimore area) gtg. I live in Columbia and would prefer not to drive into DC or NoVa. What would be cool would be a late summer trip out into western MD. Nice roads

Forgive me if I presume too much, I don't know any of you - a group of friends and I would, once in a while, get together and go to BD's Mongolian Grill in bethesda off wisconsin ave. Not far from rockville area - its next to Model's Sporting Goods (on the left when heading south) and right near Ruths Chris.

Some of you might know of this place - stir fry, "Grillaz in the Mist"

Usually weekends are very busy, but if you plan it early and call ahead you can get a sizable group in.

All you can eat - nice area to drive...just an idea.
