You'll find the formula to low 60 fts and then fall into a groove on your shift points.

that being said, are you REALLY sure that a good set of drag radials heated properly on a VHT track won't bite? I mean there are guys running WAY WAY WAY more power cutting crazy 60 fts with them. Boris cut a 1.3 or 1.4 in his e30 running a 80mm with them.

look up djborya on youtube (thats his bimmerforums name, not sure if thats his youtube name) if you find videos where he is not running a wide body then he is on drag radials. Watch them regardless, they are entertaining as hell!

Here is one I could access on my work comp but its with bias ply's and a proper front skinny setup, i'm locked out of YouTube:

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...jKnalRp1kYyn8A

ps- mixing bias play and front radials is often a recipe for disaster on the big end, be careful!
If I could keep running the drag radials I would. It would have saved me a final drive swap and rolling the fenders (although it does look cool). The problem is that Sac raceway doesn't have the same level of prep as other tracks. So you will rarely see 6mt cars with DRs cut good 60s. Even 6at cars that launch in 2nd gear only have a small window in the day where they hook up properly. After the sun goes down, the track gets too slippery to make your best runs. With the slicks, no such issues. Tons of traction all the time. Carl and others are right, all this car needs to do is launch with more boost/tq and it's deep in the 10s. That initial bog is probably costing us a few 10ths and a couple mph up top. Maybe other customers at other tracks will be able to work with DRs at this power level.

Good discussion on the setup and 2 step. My preference would still be DRs with 3.08 since this would be closer to what most will run. May struggle for 10s but the trap would be more realistic. I'd rather spin the tires at the start then slip the clutch. I guess most people may understand ET more then trap so it makes sense for this to be the focus.

Definetly not easy, looking forward to the next attempt. And its great that Shiv is keeping everyone informed on the progress.

Yep, right there especially once he gets the AT dialed in, look at this supercharged CLK Black run, very similar trap:

Yep... Looks like he has an auto tranny and is launching in 2nd gear. Compared to our run, he is saving at least 0.3 seconds by eliminating a shift. And his launch didn't bog

That's the best track in the country, no doubt there would be plenty of grip if he were to make a trip out. Frankly I think it would be worth the trip cause there's no reason the car can't drop half a second of its current ET, he'd surely recoup the costs with increased sales. Plus at a track like MIR you could get the DR's to work and they are faster than slicks.

What size are those Hoosiers? Also, why do all the videos cut out before showing the time on the "score board." I don't know what that thing is called.
