Are you kidding me?

That has to be insanely dangerous. I live in Houston and trust me sometimes I need that throttle when hydroplaning.

When you switch on DTC, cruise control disengages.

When shifting steptronic manually, the car will still change gear down for you if you depress throttle enough to hit the kickdown point (If you are in a high gear obviously). This is NOT in DS, it is in real gears like M5 M4.

You can only see service info if the car comes to a complete halt(can be in D). It will lock when you begin moving again.

Finally: The seatbelt nuisance wont shut up if your passenger is not wearing his/hers. You get a constant bong. Not good if you want her to do something else other than to sit.

This is probably common knowledge

The car automatically adjusts the volume of the logic7 based on the speed.

Holding the top arrow on the steering fast forwards a part of the song if you do not wish to hear it in it's entirety.

Sorry about the 10million posts, just wanted to do my bit to get people to focus this thread.

The car will NOT automatically switch off the headlights unless they are in the auto position. This leads to the discharge of the battery. If the idiots can design a diagnostic system that informs the dealer the reason for the discharge of the battery, why the hell cant they be programmed to switch off?

When you feel the roundel in the front of the car, the inner chrome ring housing the colors of the flag of Bavaria has a slight indentation that is ever so slightly noticeable.
Extremely good detail.

The same applies of the slow-mo door grab handles, well engineered in their own right (has been brought up i think).

In the DS Mode, flooring the car will get you into the part of the rev counter that is marked with the intermittent slashes and the tranny shifts up the moment the striped part ends, this is much better than some other AT trannies that shift up way before Redline.

When you give the throttle a boot in the DS Mode, the car holds the revs at say 5k or a high RPM for ever even though you have changed the throttle position, the only way to coax it into another gear is intermittently dabbing at the accelerator.

Found this interesting.

If you eject a cd but you don't take it out and leave it hanging, the cd player will automatically pull it back in.

Looks like BMW added this feature so that if you accidentally hit the eject button when leaving the car your cd won't be sticking out and possibly break if you hit it (causing damage to the cd player).

I can turn that feature on or off with iDrive. The amount it changes can also be adjusted.

That is the opposite of what I'd expect since to advance to the next song you'd press the bottom arrow. A short press of the top arrow takes you back to the beginning of the song.

I cannot understand, you would press the arrow on the bottom to advance,
For the benefit of people w/o IDrive, is this a feature that is customizable?

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but I just found it. Under the hood both left and right by the window, there are little lift out strainers to take out leaves and other crap that may get stuck down there. My Z4 and 2002 don't have anything like that.
