If you have 6FL (Ipod interface) I recommend the Tune2Air device. Works well with spotify. You can skip songs, and see all the metadata information on your radio or screen (if you have navi).

So far my vote is the Kinivo BTC 450. It replaced my BB Music Gateway, and sounds much better. Has connected automatically every single time. The only issue I would mention is that the cables used for it are very thin. But once it set up on my arm rest compartment it wont move. Details about my car. I got the Ipod cable on the glove box, USB for loading to hard drive on glove box, and single Aux in on the arm rest box. |

This is the one I have:
http://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Streambot...mpow+streambot Connects automatically and I don't have to touch it once my phone has been paired to it. 2 days in and I'm really happy with it.

this is great, just bought one for mine. connects quickly and does music and calls, also very easy to install and can be hidden discreetly. also has a cool blue ring (extra points) |

I have the Tune2Air and the audio quality is fine but it doesn't integrate well with the nav and my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.3) in my 2010 with 6FL. I see the playlists but can't select them at all or change the song. Plus if you switch to radio, the signaling never gets back to your phone to stop the audio, so you are still streaming! I've done the firmware updates for the Tune2Air and even had BMW update the software throughout the car, but no luck.

+1 on the Kinivo BTC 450 - been using mine for about a week. It does connect automatically every single time. Sound quality is fine; I've got a very picky ear, and the bass is actually quite deeper than my wired connection. (I went through a cradle that allowed power-in and aux-out through the one phone USB, but I refuse to use the phone headphone jack separately as part of any car audio solution) I'm happy with the $30 I spent. You just need to make sure you have your phone set to only use it for audio and not phone, if you've got the phone paired with the car for phone.

Sounds like the Tune2Air is quite popular. But in order to see info on the screen, you need the USB plug in the center console.

Played with 4 different bluetooth adapter.
2x 3.5mm jack bluetooth adapters Kinovo BYC450 Soundbot SB360 3.5mm jack bluetooth adapter took too long to sync with phone and sound quality was horrible. Sound quality was like listening to AM radio. Kinovo and Soundbot is basically same device. Both device took only 1 sec to sync and sound quality is amazing. I think its better than listening to USB port. Both has wired remote and cig port adapters. I decided to keep Soundbot. Soundbot has better button layout(huge forward/back track buttons). Kinovo has horrible button layout and button is too small. Soundbot has seperate 3 port cig port adapter(2.4A,2.1A,1.0A). Kinovo's cig adapter is connected to remote. Soundbot is only 1/2 price of Kinovo. Only bad is that no information is shown in my screen. But no problem, half of my song is foreign music and stupid BMW has only English font installed so I get jiberish in the screen. Thank you all for the help. |
