successful e90 matte black window trim

took 4 hours but was well worth the time and learning. i was actually able to remove all the trim on the doors without bending in order to ensure perfect coverage with the vinyl. re-installation was a pain, but once i got it down, things went smoothly.

this is how the car should've come.

now the million dollar question, black or gunmetal csl's...

Where did you get the vinyl? Did it come pre-cut? Do you just tape it onto the original trim after you remove it? Can you post a quick DIY on this...

this is where you can get the vinyl: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=001

I ordered 2 rolls (req. for the e90) just to be safe, plus for the price it can't be beat. the guy ships it FAST.

I'll post a little DIY on the trim removal later.

I'd love to black it out...and think removing the trim is the best option for ease of application. But don't want to bend those really pricy pieces...

Looks great! I have gunmetal CSL wheels on my black E90 and everyone loves them. BTW I live close to you and might be selling my wheels this month. Give me your email and I can send you some pix.

Go with the Gunmetals....I have them on my e90.

They will look hot with the black trim and tint...Black Matte wont bring any contrast to your car.
