Headlight washer question

So Ive just noticed that the painted cap to my headlight washer seems to be loose and not fitting into the bumper properly.
I pushed on it to see if it clipped into something ... Nothing
So I lifted the painted cap and it seems to be connected by 2 springs but I couldn't see where it was supposed to clip into.
Any ideas or suggestions to stop it being loose would be great.
Cheers

easy, pull them out. look where the springs connect to the plastic around the nozzle, that bit actually clips off. you can then turn the spring clockwise to shorten them and increase the tension. this should allow them to snap back in when used.

So I get tightening the spring up but I think that its actually the pipe ending that might be loose. Does it just push in? Does it clip into anything or just push into a hose ending? Would it be worth adding a little sealant of some sort to keep it in?
