I thought 'German I' was a prerequisite for Bimmer ownership.

SO am I the only one curious if the 335 will have a version available with x-drive (all-wheel-drive)? Seems funny that the 328xi at 230hp would be the only X-drive given that the 330xi from 2006 had 255hp. Anyone have any insight on if the 335 will have an xi version in the US?

From what I have read I think the 335xi is due to be released but only at a later stage

I will try find the source and let you know

I assume there will be no 335x 2-door....I'm hoping there will at least be a 4-door version with x-Drive and the 300hp turbo motor.

There will be both, but early spring '07 timeframe.

That would be good news for the US market. Where did you hear this?

Several sources are saying there will be a 335xi in the NA market, but that it will have a later release date (winter). One would think that they would want to have it available for the late fall 4wd sales season... But that is a lot of torque to run through a 4wd drivetrain. I am looking forward to seeing vids w/ all 4 tires smoking! What an awesome rally vehicle!

I'm sure they can do it...plenty of other cars out there running AWD with that much power. I'd be very surprised if they offer it all in the Coupe (2-door) but I hope they do.

Cool

Hello all,

The US BMW dealer "product planning and strategy" bulletin states the 335xi will be in production Q42007. It is a given it will be produced but certainty of availability is not here yet. Initial launch in September will definitely not include the 335xi

Hi Dev330,

guess you're going for jet black, coral red leather, black high gloss trim, type 230 rims, anthracite headline, etc., very tasteful. But don't waste your money for shadow line, IMO!

Dev330, sapphire black, coral red are also an alternative for me. It's hard to decide without seeing the car in the reality.
The other options are clear and my deadline is 1. june, as the E92 335i is now orderable in Germany.
I didn't thought that this will be such a hard work, but it makes a lot of fun also.

Cool reach out the window to adjust mirror.....

Interesting.. And Q?

Looking over the spec sheets (E92 military pricing and US Dealer Bulletins) it appears you can build a ~$50K version of this car and STILL not be able to have power rear view mirrors.... please tell me I am wrong LOL. I cannot have leather so I will go with:
Monaco blue over crème/beige leatherette w/ (aluminum? TBA)

Based on preliminary 'info' my car would be:

335i Base : ~$41,800
Cold weather $1,000
Sports $1,600
Mats $150
sunshade $575
comfort access $500
GPS $1,800
BMW assist $750
Metallic paint $475
Destination $700
NJ taxes $2,961

good lord..... $52,311 and because I do not have the premium package I do not get 'power operated exterior rear mirrors'... something tells me this is the folding mirror option and not the power for adjusting the mirrors...please tell me i am right.

..I still can not help but think it would be in BMW's best interest to keep this car at a starting price blow $40K in the US......

I have to agree with you there, I like the look of Jade Grey from pic's, its just very confusing, I have been toying with the idea of alpine white, but I just love dark color cars, I just punish myself because my current BM keeps me busy enough as far as polishing and scratches go, and now to top that off with light interior I will be easier for me to put the car in a glass case an just look at it

My girlfriend convinced me and it will be her duty to clean and polish the light leather.
She's absolutely against red leather, so i had to agree.
My signature is my next car. :rocks:
