Can you interchange rear shocks from I to XI ?
I have searched for 40 minutes and still have no clear answer. So my apologies if this has been beaten into the ground already.
I sold my 2006 325XI to a good friend and he is going to be upgrading the rear shocks and came to me to ask about rear shock fitment. He has ordered KYB shocks from amazon but they are listed as 325I application without mention of XI. They are KYB 349041 Excel-G recommended OE replacements per their parts catalog. Will these work ? I have found several different options with XI listed that do not seem to be listed as interchangeable so I may have my answer already but wanted to confirm. Thank You.

Should be fine. Just about anything on the rear of an e9x non-M3 swaps between i and xi. Lot of M3 stuff does too, sway bars, subframe bushings, some links.
It's the front where almost nothing swaps. |
