I'd do something different this time. Psmitty's ride is the best E90 front IMO with the splitters and mode carbon lip.

I do like his setup, but he had to rig it up with a bunch of screws and bolts to make it work. I was hoping for something more plug and play without necessitating screwing a bunch of holes in my new bumper.

What do you think abut other mtech lip options?

Ahhh yes good point.

I'm not too familiar with the sedan but the other lip I think he planned to mount before the splitter setup looked good. But it's pretty popular. How much is the performance bumper? What do you think of that? Pretty rare around here it seems.

I want a bumper with the option of adding a lip, it seems that there are no available lip options for the performance bumper, so for that reason I'm not interested in it.

The e92 lci msport looks very sick with the various lips available, and the options are better than for the e90. But, I do like this one: http://www.jl-motoring.com/BMW_E90_E...p/bmfs9026.htm

My main dilemma is this: Either, switch to msport with lip, VS. Order m3 rep again, and have extra money for my very neglected rear. I could also add the new m3 lip pretty soon. Part of me is just sick of the back being stock, and at this time I'm on a budget.

I think m-sport front with splitters would look really good in your case!

Here you go, part list for the front pre-LCI to LCI conversion that I used for mine. You can obviously skip the hood and the top grills.

Here's how mine turned out.

My vote is obviously for the msport. Rather than getting the jl motoring lip, I say go the route psmitty went. I plan to do the same. CF splitters and mode carbon GTS splitter made for an M3.

I vote #3 because your car's front end already looks awesome even without a lip, and an m-tech rear would change the rear end dramatically. Then you can put a bit of money aside and get that new lip that will be released soon.

Yeah, the more I see the mtech with lip, the more I like it, but, it would really be nice to have the rear finally get some attention, and with the new m3 lip coming out; I would still have a way to improve the front, so I very well may go with this option!

Not a problem. I actually edited my post. I added a pic of a splitter + lip route you could go.

Thanks again, I do like PSmittys, but he said that he pretty much had to jury-rig it with multiple screws and bolts (since it's not made for the e90 non m3), and that's the kind of thing I would be afraid to do. With my luck I would wind up cracking or breaking something in the process.

Yea, I understand. I'm shying away from the jl motoring lip because I feel that it takes away from the lower middle arch. It flattens the overall shape of it, while Psmittys way has more attractive flare to it.

Yeah I see what you mean, do you know of any other lips options besides the jl motoring?

I did my fair share of research and the only thing I found is the same lip from different vendors with slightly different details/lines. So as of now, I believe the only way to get something different is to have it custom fabricated.

Do you guys think the mtech would flow with my hood okay? Or do you think that the hood is too aggressive for mtech?

So why not get mtech front and rear?

Then hold off on the lip until you really know what to get to save some money.

The jgmods rear fit perfectly on mine, you don't need to go OEM.

That is another idea but I just don't like the mtech front without a lip, so I'm kind of wanting to do the mtech and lip at once, if I go that route.

Thanks to poster fatgrandma I now have an awesome rendering of what my car might look like with this new front (minus the lci headlights).
