Will 17s fit?

I've searched and came back with mixed results. I'm curious if 17s will fit over the sports package brakes on a 335. I believe the rotors are 348x30mm, which is larger than some big brake kits. I have the factory style 189s now, but I've always been a fan of style 40s. (especially all 4 rears) and was wondering if they would clear the brakes. When I've searched I've found mixed answers, basically saying "some 17s will fit and some won't" So how would I know what fits and what doesn't aside from trying the wheels on. Reason I ask is I don't want to buy a set of wheels that won't fit, and if I buy online and have them shipped, that doesn't really allow me to try them on. So, does anyone know if style 40 will fit on a 335? Has anyone done this? I've searched Google but no results.

Some styles of 17 wheels do, some don't. It's not always easy to determine. A good way is to pick a style that has been factory mounted on 335 in europe. I don't know about style 40 in particular. Besides, the OEM style 40 has a very low offset and will not clear the fenders, so most style 40 wheels you can shop are replicas, and nobody knows what they do.

Damn.... I didn't think about the low offset. Good call. Yeah, the rears are 17x9 et8 so they will stick out really far. I don't think they'd work.
