Thanks Phil for posting your instructions and sharing your Master Zip. I'm ready to give it a try.

I came across your post after hitting errors "COAPI-2000:EDIABAS or SGBD error" and "BIP-0009: BEST VERSION ERROR" while attempting to code my NFRM module for Folding Mirrors with the Key FOB.

I'm still not sure which DATENS I need, my dealer updated the software when it was in last June, 2012.

From all the searching, installing, uninstalling, searching... that I've done, it seems that the newer Datens require newer versions of EDIABAS. I kept trying to install the BMW STANDARD TOOLS 2.11, but it results in empty INPA menus.

Finally, I settled on installing BMW STANDARD TOOLS 2.11, then overwrote the installation directories with the directories in your Master Zip.

I've been this all weekend, and now my Car battery is almost dead. I'm going to startup my other car and connect jumper cables to the 335xi so I can have enough juice to push on with the coding.

@gt_335xi I hope it works for you! The daten files included in the master zip will now be outdated from the latest ones available, so if you get a version mismatch error, you'll probably need to merge the newest daten files in. Let us know how it goes, and if you find new files (daten or software) that are needed to code, I can include them in an updated master zip if you want to send them to me.

It worked great! Now my mirrors fold/retract with the Key FOB.

I did note that I got two pop-ups when running INPA after selecting my chasis (E90). One was something about language mismatch, and there was some other pop-up. I just clicked OK and ignored them.

This Master Zip got rid of the NCS EXPERT errors "COAPI-2000:EDIABAS or SGBD error" and "BIP-0009: BEST VERSION ERROR" that I was hitting earlier.

After coding, I tried connecting my DIS v57 for the first time to test it out. Sadly, I learned that the DIS v57 VM needs EDIABAS no later than 6.4.7.

I saw someone in another forum mention that he keeps two Copies of EDIABAS in different versions. EDIABAS v7 from NCSEXPERT and v6.4.7 for DIS v57 VM

C:\NCS_EDIABAS - v7 for NCSEXPERT
C:\DIS_EDIABAS - v6.4.7 for DIS v57 VM

then he overwrites C:\EDIABAS before switching from one program to the other.

I'm going to adopt this strategy and see if I can now get my DIS v57 VM working

It worked on my 2008 335xi sedan!
