Think US customs would notice if I went to the USA for a vacation with 3 suitcases filled with euro headlights ??

Could make a bit of money

Just wrap them up in your used underwear...that should do the trick

How hard is it to just open up the xenon casing, and removing the amber, then gluing them back up?

I am not good with this type of stuff, but I know a shop in socal that specializes baking open headlights for this reason.

this question has been beaten to death and it is not possible. many E90ers on the board had sacrificed their lighting housing to prove that we cant.

Not impossible, but extremely difficult - check out longtran's DIY on it:

Btw, if anyone hasn't seen the master DIY list - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1721

After reading that, I think I will not bother. I have the expensive headlights on top of all that.
