E92 Ride Quality

It's been mentioned but I thought I'd add my pennies worth...

Was expecting the ride to be v firm, sports suspension and 19's.

My benchmark being E46 M3 and most recently Porsche 997C2S. Both those cars were extreme - ie on UK roads if you've got wobbly bits they wobble!

I chose the 19's purely on the looks - I like the running on rims look - and I fully expected the payback to be ride similar, although not so extreme, as the M3 and 997.

But, not even in the same league - so much smoother, even smoother than a prevoius 545i SE on 18' run flats - truely amazing. I think that BMW and the tyre manufactirers have finally got it cracked.

Happy motoring

+1 on that one. I had a E46 M3, first decent motorway run decided to get rid before my head fell off. Then had an E60 Sport on 18"s very firm but accepted it because of the handling being so good for a large car,it wasn't untill we swapped for a Disco 3 that i realised how uncomfortable the 5 was!!
When looking at the Coupe couldn't resist the 19"s.

What a surprise its 100% better than expected
I'd advise anyone to go for the blings

I also went for the 19"s thinking I'd be rattled to death but I must say... very nice indeed, great ride and even better looks!!

Just picked up my new E92 335d last Friday. I have the 19” Star Spoke 230 wheels and was also ready for a harsh ride and railing in the lorry ruts on the motorway.

I’m really pleased to say that the car rides and runs very easily and I only get reminded of the 19”s when I hit a divot in the road at speed.

Much better than what I had prepared myself for! I also decided to take out the BMW tyre insurance knowing how much the RFTs are to replace should I get a puncture!!

Love those 19" 230s!!

Garage List
I ordered mine in july before the e92 release date and I went for the 17" as I read the early reports which mentioned the nuggety ride on RFT + sport suspension of the 335 variants...plus I didn't like look of the 18's and 19's seemed a tad to bling.

Shouldn't have worried ride is excellent...so now the M-sport style 225 have arrived I can see me having a summer set
