E92 Ride Quality
It's been mentioned but I thought I'd add my pennies worth...
Was expecting the ride to be v firm, sports suspension and 19's. My benchmark being E46 M3 and most recently Porsche 997C2S. Both those cars were extreme - ie on UK roads if you've got wobbly bits they wobble! I chose the 19's purely on the looks - I like the running on rims look - and I fully expected the payback to be ride similar, although not so extreme, as the M3 and 997. But, not even in the same league - so much smoother, even smoother than a prevoius 545i SE on 18' run flats - truely amazing. I think that BMW and the tyre manufactirers have finally got it cracked. Happy motoring m33porsche (now m33335i - but that's not so catchy) |

I also went for the 19"s thinking I'd be rattled to death but I must say... very nice indeed, great ride and even better looks!!

Just picked up my new E92 335d last Friday. I have the 19” Star Spoke 230 wheels and was also ready for a harsh ride and railing in the lorry ruts on the motorway.
I’m really pleased to say that the car rides and runs very easily and I only get reminded of the 19”s when I hit a divot in the road at speed. Much better than what I had prepared myself for! I also decided to take out the BMW tyre insurance knowing how much the RFTs are to replace should I get a puncture!! Love those 19" 230s!! |

I ordered mine in july before the e92 release date and I went for the 17" as I read the early reports which mentioned the nuggety ride on RFT + sport suspension of the 335 variants...plus I didn't like look of the 18's and 19's seemed a tad to bling.
Shouldn't have worried ride is excellent...so now the M-sport style 225 have arrived I can see me having a summer set
