I have Llumar CTX 30 on all windows and Llumar AirBlue 80 on the windshield. The heat rejection is a lifesaver during the 110+ Vegas summer! Crystalline is great stuff but its also very pricey. The AB80 is nano ceramic like the crystalline and reasonably priced. Either way, make sure you check the heat rejection % of which ever tint you choose. Most tint shops should have a heat lamp display to demonstrate how well each tint rejects heat.

Decided on suntek hp on 4 side windows and suntek carbon on rear glass (because it is non-metallic to leave my antennas alone), going to cost me 200. The only decision to make is the percent, I am between 20/30 on the sides and 18/25 on the rear. I am putting off the front ws for now, but he said I can do it for no additional shop fee if I decide later (additional 100 for ws)

You can't tell me it does not work. Plus it protects your dash and front seats. But you are right, it's silly for someone in sunny FLA.
I'm sure he's misinformed and thinks tinting the windshield= making it black.

agreed with most here. Ceramic will do the best and I'd say 35% all the way around. Thats my plan

I am looking to get good heat rejection to keep the car cool, so front ws makes sense, but since it costs 100 to do it i am going to skip it for now and see how the summer heat treats me, obviously a 70 or 80 tint up fromt is not going to make the car look dark, and that is not my ultimate goal, i have had my car in ft lauderdale for a summer and it can be unbareable after getting in the car, trying to reduce that feeling while staying legal and keeping the driving visibilty reasonable, if you have any other comments for me feel free to pm me, lets keep this thread for education shall we

LLumar seems to own or be the parent company of the Formula One branded tints, but they seem to have two different product lines.

I would do the Pinnacle F1 35 all around mabye the UVShield on the windshield.

Don't discount 40% crystalline. Here's what it looks all around (side & rears) for me:

You're probably not gonna find a better tint for heat UV/IR rejection.

I've had 20% on a few cars and 35% on a few cars. 20% still has good visibilty at night and 35% just doesnt feel dark enough to me.

I would definately recommend getting 20% done but you do risk getting tickets though small chance i'd say.

Thanks for posting the pictures, that darkness seems just right to me, even though I am going to do suntek, you convinced me to do 30% instead of 20%, thanks

I got the Sunktek HP20% yesterday. I will post a picture later on today, just to make it tougher on you even though you decided 30%.

I wussed out. Did 35% in front two windows, 25% for the rest. Seems like the perfect balance overall.

What did you pay for the tint? I am trying to make sure I don't over pay when I tint my windows next month.

I wasn't referring to you sir. Go back and read who I'm replying to, regarding this quote below.

I actaully ended up finding a groupon deal believie it or not. I ended up paying $100 for it. The shop normally charges $180 I believe.

Do you guys keep the front windshield factory? or do like a 50% tint on it?
On my old vw I had 5% on all the back and 35% on the two front windows and it didn't look bad

Had it done today at Tint World in East Fort Lauderdale. Very happy. Did 30% suntek HP on all 4 sides and 25% suntek carbon on rear because it is non-metallic. The darkness is perfect and the heat reduction is good.
