Just got a flat what do I do?

I was driving down the street and noticed a sound like a got a flat, i pulled over and of course I had one(driverside rear) I know these are runflats but it looked like a metal tube was sticking out from it, is this normal? what do I do next, can I patch it? aftermarket tire? I really dont want to spend 600 on a new tire.

Pretty simple, just call around and find a local tire store that carries the same brand/model tire as the one you popped, and price shop. =P

But your moneymike just buy a new tire.

I love people with money or cash in there user name.

If you still have OEM runflats, just go to a tire place and purchase regular tires, After I had run through 3 Bridgestone potenza tires ($550 a pop), I was fed up with this runflat bullshit, so I bought regular Racing Performance Yokohama tires for about $940 for 4. To this day, about 18,000 Miles I have not have one problem with these tires, and not to mention the ride quality is much better than the runflats. The only problem is the fact that since they are racing performance tires in the snow they slip and slide like crazy. I think it's time for me to invest in solid snow tires.

WTF? Maybe you shouldn't drive the car until you get new tires. Metal thing sticking out doesn't sound good at all.

Or just not drive at all until he learns that regular tires DO in fact fit on 19" rims

did you buy tire insurance from BMW? take it to dealer and have them replace or fix your tires if you did.

if not, then go to any local tire shop and have them patched.

are you talking bout a metal thing sticking out of your tires ?? i dont think there should be metal sticking out your tire... might be what caused the puncture in the first place right ??

anyway, you have two options... either buy one new run flat tire... (should be the same kind as what you have on the other 3 wheels) or get a whole new set of 4 tires altogether.

You heard a sound? Did you get a warning from the system?

Thats nuts! Looks like you got a door stop in your tire. Did it cause any damage to the inside of your wheel well?

If you have run flats. I would pull that sucker out and drive to get that tire patched or most likely they will have to replace it. If you do have tire insurance from BMW, then just go to the dealership.

Don't Drive

Dude, I wouldn't drive with that sticking out of my tire. It looks like a damn crack pipe sticking out of your tire. Were you driving in the hood? If it's RF you may be able to pull out the rod and continue driving slowly to nearest tire facility. I would say you definately found the problem though.
