diesel leak

dudes, i have a diesel puddle in front of the rear drivers side wheel, i have had all of the tray off underneath and cant find anything. it doesnt do it all the time, so i am starting to think i may have a blocked vent pipe or something where i probably over fill the car maybe? anyone seen similar or know where else to check?? its not leaking very much at all, but its bugging me and fcukin up my driveway... thanks guys!

Does it only happen after you fill up? Mine did the same, the dealer first replaced the filler pipe then the filler pipe and tank together - all under warranty luckily

Hmm out of warranty, so anyone any ideas how i get to the filler pipe etc? through the wheel arch?? i am really hoping its a bad seal on a joint or something, dont fancy replacing the fuel tank!!

No idea as I've not looked at it in detail myself, I'd guess you access it by removing the wheel arch liner.

Had this on my 330d.

Cracked pipe between filler cap and tank.

Days work at a dealer to drop rear subframe, take the tank out, and replace pipe.

Cheeky dealer tried to charge me for MY tank of diesel I lost when they refilled

I fear this will be a costly job for you.

Alternatively, dont fill past half way and p/x at a BMW dealer for your next car.

Call the dealer, explain to them the part as discribed by PJS and get them to give you a quote, let us know how you get on.
