Punctured Tyre :(

So I was driving along a side street when I hear a loud noise followed by loud hissing of air. Parked up to see a big metal peice lodged into my tyre.

I drove to my nearest garage which was 2 minutes away and they told me that I would have to buy a replacement. Now I'm running on Uniroyal Rainsport 2 which apparantly cost 200 per tyre!!!

I need some advice wether to look for cheaper alternative tyre or just take the plunge and buy the same replacement. I feel that 200 is a little steep but then again I don't want to affect my ride quality by getting crappy tires. What do you guys think ?

I bought the car with these tyres already fitted you see. Otherwise i don't think i'd be able to spend this kind of money on tyres lol. What tyres are you talking about that are cheaper and better?

Michellin Pilot Super Sports are at the top of my to do list. I currently have Vredstein tyres, and even with illegal rears the grip is pretty good.

If you wanted to you could get 2 michellin pilot super sports for £430 and a £50 fuel card from camskill.

Edit: you sure they are 30 profile and not 35?

I just found out there was a misunderstanding. I was with a friend at the time when i dropped my car of to my mehcanic. I told my friend to go check the tyre size whilst i was speaking to the mechanic. He checked the size of the front tyre assuming they would be equal all around.

That's why i though the rears were 235 lol

Going back there now to double check the size of the rears to avoid any more confusions.

my tyres have the rainsport2's for 184, but by the time you've had the delivered and then paid for fitting, you'd be over 200.

they are not bad tyres at all, try and find a better wet weather tyre..... not as good as some in the dry, but they **** all over pretty much everything when it rains.
