PDR Quote of $400+tax for one small dent?
I got a quote today for some PDR work on my left rear quarter panel (2011 e92) and they're wanting $400 plus tax.
- $250 for PDR work itself - $150 to remove rear wheel and wheel liner I have difficulty believing that is accurate. Am I out of my mind? |

LOL, I got 3 dents popped out for $150 (all on a single panel). I guess it depends on where it's located, as certain panels are easier to access but still $400 for 1 dent is ridiculous.

Sounds like a lot to me too. I used to have a guy come out to my house and do dents for about 40 bucks a pop in the doors, quarter panels, and fenders. Post a pic of how bad the dent is, and maybe get some other quotes

Yeah seems pretty high. My old car got riddled with hail. 500+ dents. They quoted me 8000 and that included body filling, sanding, painting, a new hood, new trunk & new fenders, removing the headliner & sunroof and then pushing out all the remaining dings. This would also require removing all 4 wheels and fender liners and trunk liner as well disassbling all 4 doors.
400 for one dent seems excessive considering what I was quoted, try getting another quote. If the dent is in a fender or door could you remove the damaged panel and take it in? |

i pay 125 a panel, essentially take a wheel off and the wheel well liner is a 30 minute job plus or minus a few minutes this guy is charging you $150 an hour which is a little excessive considering it does not take any expertise to do this, tell him you will have the wheel off and wheel well liner off as well and you will put back on then see what happens. Also try and haggle on the price, offer cash and say your friend would do it for 150.

Just get some hot glue made for PDR, a hot glue gun and a rubber tipped rod. Work it slowly circular motion, then pull off the glue and rod. I did this for 3 dents i had cant notice them any more. This all however depends on where and how bad the dent is.

Yeah way to high. I had 6 small dents taken out (both rear doors and both rear quarter panels). It would have been 175 but I jacked the car up and removed the back wheel and he only charged me 100 for all 6. Shop around

Sounds high to me, even for a big dent, shouldn't be more than $175-$200 in my opinion, Keep looking.

They definitely included some "luxury tax", that is wayyy too much. I guess you already suspected it was too much since you asked here.
