e93 325i 3.0 muffler delete
Hi,
all been reading about the muffler delete on the US forums. also any pitfalls? like worse performance, or smoke? have seen you can do a dual pipe version (like the 335i) was wondering if anyone has done it in the UK on the 325i 3.0 version? was interested in comments about the drowning noise, and the actual sound (don't want a boy racer sound). Seen a few vids on youtube, but dont think they give the proper sound, yes gives a idea but not the actual sound. Thanks |

Which engine does your 325i have? If it's the N53 (with direct injection) you may not find it possible to delete the central muffler, as it also houses an additional emissions sensor and associated wiring.
This is the reason why the BMW Performance Exhaust for the UK market is only a rear muffler, whereas in the USA it also comprises a central section, deleting the muffler.

Then I think the answer is yes, it can be done - but don't be surprised if you have major droning issues. The Performance Exhaust back box is designed the way it is for a reason...
