Help Please. Car won't start.

As the title reads my car wont start. When I put my Key into the ignition, the car recognizes it, but I cant proceed to the next part of the start up process where all the instruments light up and features like rolling the windows down work. Any ideas? Im pretty sure its not the battery, because all the electronics work, and I just replaced the battery a couple of months ago.

PS. How do I put my car into neutral if I cant get to the next step? Yes my car is auto.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Sounds like the battery. Did you have it registered?
Did you have it tested?

Yes battery was registered. It was installed at BMW. And yes it is in park. I also had it tested today by AAA.

If the battery checked out ok, after being tested "under load" then maybe it is the start button? Whatever it is, when you have it fixed, please post an update.

Or may the start button isn't working. You should be able to cycle through the accessory modes. Start button is an easy fix. (I better be careful with what I say. It's a BMW, even a button replacement could require a degree in astrophysics.)

Apparently, It was the steering column lock. I have had it lock on me a few times, but I was able to play with the steering wheel a little to get in unlocked and started. This time, I couldn't do it, and had to get the car towed. At BMW the couldn't even get the car into the shop because the couldn't steer the car in there, and they couldn't "reset" the computer because the would need an error code in order to fix the problem under warranty. They still haven't fixed it yet, but at least they told me the problem. Thanks for the help guys.
