Are you referring to VVT servometer motor?
What symptoms is your car having?

Yes that's what I'm referring to...the rpm needle keeps moving up & down from 1 in a half to 2 on the rpm it vibrates and when I'm driving the car jerks sometimes it almost feels like the tranny is slippin but it isn't like I have to almost force my foot on the pedal for it to go then when I do The rpm needle goes all the way to 4 . Then at red lights while my foot is on the break the car surges on its own like a dam ghost is in there with me lol but no check engine light is on .its been like this for a whole year now .i had to change the vanos solienod ,air flow meter, 2 ignition coils, spark splugs and the needle still moving
What ever that problem is I can feel it in the pedal making the car loss power so I took it to a well known shop and he said its the valtronic motor . He said I have to replace that and the essentric shaft sensor I think that's what it's called he wants 800 part & labor smh

There is a saying. If it ain't broken, do not fix it.

This chap who diagnosed your car, did he read any codes on your car?
Yes, a bad servomotor can result in the symptoms which you have described but it could be eccentric shaft sensor as well.
Both of these are linked and most of the time mechanics tell you to replace both.
Are you having poor mpg compared to other cars which are of same age / mileage as yours?

If servomotor is faulty, then your car should give you half engine light and loose its power. If that is not happening, then leave it as it is. Unless you have money to spend on it. And in that case, make sure that there are codes stored in your car for those.
On a diagnostic machine, it should give you codes under the engine section and that should point you in the right direction.

it could be the throttle postion sensor you can do a reset for this ,ive seen that somewhere and worth searching for on this forum ,surely if it was the valvetronic servo or sensor you'd have engine lights
