XceedPerformance (Southeast Michigan) - REVIEW
Most of the work on my 2006 E90 330i have been performed between DV or myself over the past three years. With my travel for work increasing in demand, preparing a house to be put on the market and having recently been married, I could not find the time to work on my E90, let alone regular maintenance on my house. My E90 just rolled over 74k miles but at nine years of age since she was built in May 2005, I felt that I needed to address the water pump and thermostat while she was healthy. As if there was a disturbance in the force by my growing predicament, I was contacted by Phil through E90Post. He has 10 years of experience at Erhard BMW of Farmington Hills and reached out since he is local to me. We exchanged PM’s and texts then scheduled time for some preventative maintenance. Work I got done:
I knew from the get-go that only BMW authentic parts were going to be used so I had that peace of mind. And with an experienced BMW technician from a highly reputable family of BMW dealerships performing the surgery, I had no doubt that Phil would take care of my E90. Before the scheduled surgery, Phil asked for the last seven digits of my E90’s VIN and my name so he could prepare an invoice for me. I dropped my E90 off at around 7:30am, walked to the coney island (commonly known as a DINER where I grew up in Connecticut) around the corner and had breakfast while I waited. The coney island has free wifi so bring a laptop. I kept myself entertained until Phil texted at 10:00. 2.5 hours! He picked me up in my E90 and I drove him back to his place where he showed me the old parts. Phil gave me the invoice and I paid for his services. Water pump and thermostat seem to be fine and the CDV delete makes shifting a little different but I haven't noticed too much of a difference. Maybe my CDV was already dying or dead. I will be moving to the Chicago area this summer but if I were staying in the southeast Michigan area, I would not hesitate contacting Phil to work on E90 330i. If you need some work performed and are interested in having Phil work on your car, PM “XceedPerformance” and he’ll get back to you.

Do you do coding? I need front corner light delete coding done on my car. I'll also be contacting you the next time I have a boost leak or misfire… which is often.

Just gonna bump this..
Had Phil do my brake fluid and CDV today. He's a good guy and very knowledgable. I was in an out in about an hour. I just hung around while he worked and we talked while he was working on my car. IMO, the CDV really changes the feel of the 6MT. No longer is your clutch half engaged while you're accelerating and gear changes are way smoother. I would definitely recommend contacting Phil (prostock3) if you need work done. |

I'm just going to add to this...
Last weekend, after 82k miles, I started to get the warning signs that my water pump was donezo. I'm a DIYer, but living in an apartment complex serious limits what I can do. I contacted Phil (prostock3) based on multiple recommendations. Not only was he quick to reply, willing to do the work (for a fantastic price), but he could also fit me in his schedule. Parts were ordered from ECS and the waiting game began. My car gets stored during winter, so it being down during "play time" is always frustrating. I contacted Phil as soon as the parts arrived and I made sure everything was there. I had an appointment 2 days later, one week exactly from when the problem started. The car got dropped at Phil's awesome, awesome garage yesterday afternoon. He was fresh off another job that had just left. I was planning on leaving the car overnight so he could get to it the next morning, but he knocked it out and got it done a few hours later! If you are needing work done, DO NOT hesitate getting in touch with Phil. He's got the knowledge, experience, and all the tools/space to get it done. Most importantly, you can tell he loves what he does. So go to Phil for local stuff. That is all.

+ 1 for Phil. Stand up guy, did a great job on my F30, and just talking about BMWs in general. Also contacted him a day before the appointment and he squeezed me in after work. Thanks for helping a new guy to the area and I hope he can help me with some future work.

Dan you should update the thread title to his new username: XceedPerformance
Had Phil do a brake fluid flush, CDV, coolant flush, oil change, and VRSF downpipe install this past week. Thoroughly impressed with his work, shop, professionalism, and service. Family member also recently had a brake job done on a 330ci, was also very impressed. His pricing cannot be beat, he REALLY knows his way around BMW's, and he's a lot of fun to talk about cars with! Highly recommend!

Here s the stuff Phil has installed on my 335xi coupe in case anyone is wondering about what he can do:
Rear Dinan shocks, Front Koni yellow struts Dinan Springs Dinan fixed camber plates Front traction struts M3 rear subframe bushings UUC Front and Rear Swaybars Dinan Cold Air Intake ER sports oil cooler Cobb FMIC CPE high flow catted downpipes (xi) Needless to say I have absolute confidence in his abilities. When my original battery died recently he offered to come to where I was and swap in a new one. Just a great member of the community.

Wanted to post another review in here for Phil:
My water pump died a few weeks back. Within 24 hours Phil had the parts in hand and my car fixed. All for a solid price. Even helped me unload my car off the trailer (had to tow it over, would overheat every few miles) in the middle of the night interrupting his dinner. Thanks again Phil!
