Group Buy: Vishnu XEDE/Exhaust, Spring 07, Chicago, need 5.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack a thread, but I'm in StL and if we have enough MO interest perhaps we could do a piggyback day(s) 1-? in Chicago then next day StL? So far I see 2 StL...I can help organize if so. I'll post in Great Plains + Rockies also.

As soon as winter is over is fine with me, so that we can synchronize with Chicago, but remember that we get free tuning and installation before Dec. 31. I think he charges $500 for installation and tuning (each).

If that deadline is not met by any of us, and as march approaches, vishnu might already be shipping XEDE/Exhaust systems.

I dont know if custom tuning would be worth it for me then.

Based on the information posted with the Canadian upgrades over the weekend I'm leaning toward the Xede upgrade only and pass on the exhaust for now. It sounds like the Xede will be "plug and play" in the very near future but it would be nice to have Shiv do the upgrade.

It all comes down to timing and weather. My car isn't going anywhere if the streets are covered in snow. My last "stranded at Ohare" drive took 5 1/2 to cover less than 200 miles. 294 Traffic sucks.

If we commit, will Shiv hold the price until March/April?

I doubt he will hold the price, Fortbimmer. And after reading the Canadian posts, it seems like I'm with you. Not only the Xede will probably be plug and play, but I wouldn't care so much for the exhaust either. So, if we get something going on in STL, I'll be in mostly to get the group going. Same goes for Chicago. If both places have groups, I'll go to STL. If we don't get groups, that's fine, cause I think I'll be ok with the shipped Xede.

Yeah, ive been rethinking.
Might not get the exhaust either, im just having a chnage of heart, although i havent seen the gains with the Vishnu Exhaust and what features it has either.

Might wait for the XEDE, will definately get that and just plug and play. Im sure he will have a 93/94 octane.

ps. As for dyno facilities, look into AMS, chicago performance tuning( they have shiv favorites dyno), porsche exchange, performance autowerks, etc. there are plenty in the area.

Fall Line Motorsports in Northbrook does a lot of BMW work and advertises in Roundel; they're sure to be a friendly venue.

Strong Maybe too.... Shiv ACS is going to be adding an exhaust to my car....is there anyway i could keep the looks part of their exhaust and add in yours?
