I should be there as of now. Tomorrow is the due date but we'll see what happens. As long as she is late I'll be throwing it on the dyno with the baby seat in the back!

I'll throw up a few pics this evening. I talked to Chris earlier in the week but decided to just have the dealer do it in the end. The pricing was decent and convenience came into play as they'll give me a loaner when they fit the shield.

Not a problem - as long as we can go for a ride around town in yours before you put the exhaust back on

Well, Chris is the dealer installer, so same difference, except, as you pointed out, you get the loaner. Good move

I got my car through Motorwerks, and I think they have a different installer. I can't remember the guys name that was mentioned, but I don't think it was Chris. I could be wrong though! The loaner sold me though, as it would have been a pain to have to leave the car, get picked up, dropped off etc.

Anvar---bring your car anyways! I drove around for a day with only downpipes and it didn't sound too obnoxious. Seriously! I can give you a ride too if need be

That was a lot of fun. Nice to place faces and names with screen names. Also really nice to see the torquealicious 335's run! Look forward to next meet.

Yeah, that was fun to see dyno runs for some of the cars. Great to see Gary's new car. I'll post pictures of it later.
EDIT: Gary, your angel eyes are bright. Last edited by BSME90; 07-31-2010 at 04:32 PM.. |

I am happy enough. I mean it's never going to see a drag strip or track, and considering it came from the factory with 240hp at the crank, 365hp at the wheels with that flat tq curve is a nice improvement. A turbo would allow for higher numbers, for sure, but for the sheer pleasure of driving, this platform delivers in spades - I've entered the Goldilocks zone, it's just right

Great meeting and chatting with you guys!
MnM3 - Thank you so much letting me drive your M3. The car is a beauty. I've decided to scrap this crappy exhaust and put on my stock one for now. The design and fit are just too crappy for me to dealt with. I've learned a good lesson about quality parts. |
