Pavilion McDonalds is every Saturday . They tend to start wrapping things up around 9pm and it starts clearing by 10 I think from what I remember. Idk how early people get there. Probably 6 or 7ish I imagine.

For some really nice cars there's Scottsdale Cars and Coffee 1st Saturday of the month on Scottsdale Rd and Double Tree.

Man all this talk about e85 is making me curious. Is the LPFP upgrade required for when you run past a certain amount of ethanol?

Oh and Steve's LPFP comes this week. Now all I need is to get my BMS e85 backend flash and its fun time

From everything I have read and experienced, mixing more than 30% e85 in your tank on a stock setup could lead to limp mode. I have had this happen occasionally. Every fuel system (like every car) is a bit different in what it can tolerate. Mine will run fine for the most part but then hits a wall after a few hard pulls. I still need to go back and log but the lpfp upgrade should allow me to run up to 60%+ e85 with no problems.

So in summary, put your JB4 in map 5, find the e85 pump and start with about 25% mixed in on top of your 91. The car will learn and adjust parameters accordingly. Once I get my setup finished I will let you check it out.

I have a water pump, thermostat, and coolant I need installed on my E90 330. I got a quote from Certified Benz and Beemer for $500 which is outrageous, so I'm looking to you guys for help. Anyone know of a shop that will do this for me at a reasonable rate? I'm open to individuals too I suppose....

Those guys are a dealership primarily? Maybe that's why. It wouldn't hurt to try and ask for a quote from Beyer Motor Works in Chandler. At least they're indy and not a dealer type place. Im not sure how many hours labor they're going off of but it seems like they could be charging $100/hr @ 5hrs which is kinda a lot but not sure. GL

Thanks for the suggestion. I did get a quote and they wanted $1050 because they don't install customer-supplied parts.

Just tumbling down the rabbit hole ehhh?

Now I have the G5, intercooler, DP, DCI, Remus and the upgraded inline fuel pump coming. Once I do the e85 backend flash and install the pump I will take it to get it dynoed again. From everything I have read it should be around 440-450rwhp with those mods and a 50:50 e85 and 91 mix. We shall see but if you are going down the rabbit hole you might as well go all in.

I ran some COBB logs and I am seeing lots of corrections during shifts, at load through mid range its perfect its just on shifting. Allen from PTF says its the AZ 91ACN. Just not good enough. What map are other AZ COBB guys using? I'm gonna try topping my tank off with e85 to help it out. When mixing fuel like that does it matter what order I mix in? E85 first few gallons or E85 as last few gallons? Just curious cause I would rather just top myself off than wait til I'm close to empty again.

Here are some before and after logs in case anyones curious.
e85 mix feels like it helped and logs indicate less timing corrections.

Before I had corrections across all 6 cylinders after shifting up to like -6 but after its only like 3 cylinders and I thin it only gets up to like -3.

/shrug not sure if there's any way to make it better or if that's good enough.

Stg 2 FMIC+ ST Sport 91 ACN w/ timing corrections a lot

Stg 2 FMIC+ ST Sport 91ACN + e85 corrections minimal

And I'll throw up another log tomorrow after the e85 has had a chance to mix in the tank a bit more.

Here's the latest run after having the e85 mix in the tank for about 24 hours and I think this one looks the best as far as corrections goes. Even through shifting. Almost none and just one cylinder and very minimal.

Stg 2 FMIC+ ST Sport 91ACN + e85 even less corrections than before

Anyone have a fender roller to borrow/rent?

nitto invo 265 are just a tad wider than Falken fk452. Slight rub with stock camber and sport suspension.

Ok. So call me crazy. I get my oil changed by chapman in chandler last weekend, and it seems like the car is running better now. They said they did a "scope" which updates the computer etc. Before the oil change it was idling a little rough and hestitating on acceleration just a little bit. So I was getting ready to change my plugs. But now it's running better. I wonder what they actually changed? I am still going to replace my plugs this week. I have 83k miles and no engine mods. Kinda crazy.

Those arent original plugs are they? it might still just be the plugs if they're still the same ones.

I highly doubt it. The car was under CPo extended warranty until a few months ago, so I would have imagined they have been changed at normal service intervals. I've only owned it for 6 months so I'm not positive. I am going to swap them out tonight so I'll be able to see the condition. Hopefully they are just worn out.

Gotcha, do you know if your VCG has ever been done? I did my plugs recently and Im pretty sure my gaskets about due. Plug 2 and 3 were oily. I've never done plugs and it was pretty easy on the n54. I felt like a champ afterwards lol. Next day my legs and back were hella sore though.

I am not sure about the vcg. I did the plugs last night and they all had good color. The electrodes were worn down about .010" or so. While I had everything apart, I tried to look for any leaks around the vcg as I have heard about them leaking and everything was super clean.

I did notice that one of the injectors was clicking a lot more than the others. I could even feel it when I placed my finger on that one vs the others. I wonder if that means it's on the way out?

Ok, so I did the inline fuel pump upgrade and subsequent e85 back end flash. For the record I ordered everything from SteveAZ (fuel-it-biz) and the pump was shipped the same day. It is nice because he lives right in our backyard. The instructions and procedure were spot on. It took a bit of time with some help but I was also doing the rotors and painting calipers.

So far it is holding 60% e85 fine. The flash has definitely smoothed things out as the car feels a bit different. Right now I am in Map 5 but tried map 7 but did get thrown into map 4 on a pull. My logs showed the LPFP as steady which means the sensor has gone bad. I did read a Low Fuel Pressure Sensor Faulty code. Hopefully I can get it replaced (on order) and everything dialed in, get some good logs and then take it to get it dynoed.
