DIY carbon fiber door pillars
well I got the carbon fiber door pillars from bimmian.com they are $80
first get some alcohol and applied to the door pillar let it dry for like 2 mins then get a old sock or a old cotton towel, so you can trow it away b/c the smell of the 3M adhesion promoter, is not going to go away. apply the 3M promoter to the door pillar and let it dry DON'T TOUCH IT !! it take like 4 mins to dry you can try to do one side first and then the other one peel the 3M protective paper slowy ( if you do it fast the paper may break and you have to remove it) start from the botton, and work your way to the top if you ness up peel it imidiatly, and do it again, ones it dry you can't removed. went you place it right apply presion with your finger. repeat this process for each door pillar. |

Hi Calvin,
Thinking about the CF pillars. But i need to find out first from you if the CF pieces noticeable at edges after installation? How well is the edges fitment to the door pillars? I meant does it looks fake upon looking at first glance? Or they just blend so smooth over the pillar edges without telling that they are actually add-ons? Thank you for reading. Preferably, could you take some close-up pics on the edges on your ride? Many thanks bimmer

I got them for $60 from a member up here. Look great. What I did was cleaning the door pillar with windex and then put the CF pillar on.
