BMW style 216

Hi, I'm in the US but think the UK probably owns the most style 216s. They can be had here new for a reasonable price but not many people seem to have them here.

I'm interested in them, they look great, but have a few questions from those of you that own them. Thank you for any info you can provide.

1. Can you tell me how much a 8.5 width or 8 width wheel weights? Did you weight the wheels yourself or know the weights by some other source?

2. If you own them, how have they held up? Has anyone bent them or cracked them?

3. How is the finish? Does the "BMW Motorsport" logo hold up or does it wear away?

4. Would you recommend them as a BMW original equipment wheel? Any reservations on them?

thank you.

1)No idea, but google is your friend ;-)
2)They are OEM fit on my car, and have been since 2006, first with Bridgestone RE-050A 's, now with non-rft Continental SC3's, and they're still round and true, despite our roads resembling a third world dirt road.
3)Finish is very good and motorsport logo stays on, even with pressure washer. When my fronts where refurbed (curb damage, not by me), the logo was gone, but I sourced new logo's via Ebay, applied them and they have been fine ever since.
4)Yes, I think they look great (that touring car look). One reservation: there are easier wheels to clean.

thanks for the info. Weight has been hard to find. Some websites show weights for other styles that are well below actual. For example, bmwfans.info thinks my 161s are 22 to 23 lbs, actual is near 32. Wondering if anyone has weighed their 216s themselves.
