my uncle has me hooked on the idea of a private pilots license. he flies a Cirrus SR22 and raves about the convenience of private air travel. I wouldnt do it to replace my dental career but im looking into it for recreation/travel needs.

MonkUSMC:
After Nam,was not old enough,m finished at Castle AFB in 1980 and was done flying Buff's in 91.

Interesting story as one of my instructor pilots flew B-58's and showed me when reading the Dash-1 in bold face print, loss of an outboard engine at supersonic flight will cause the aircraft to tumble. Nuff said but what an awesome aircraft...

I miss instructing but it has gotten so expensive for students anymore that there are not a lot of them left.

No don't work for SABCA. ENJJPT uses a rating system. If your home country's air force has only fighters, you get a fighter. But for the US pilots going thru the assignment can range from say F22 to MAC (military airlift command) depending on how well you did and where pilots are needed

I swore by Level-D 767... Now that I decided to make my own home cockpit, I fly a B737-800NG using the SimAvionics software.

There is just something wrong about a vehicle that's wings travel faster than the fuselage.

25 hours here
Work forced me to stop flying before I could get my solo. Just need to do the written and I am good to go for my solo.
I flew twice this year, and both FOs (different) were shocked that I was still on the ball after such long hiatus

I've also done the Air Combat USA thing in Fullerton, CA
Really fun!
