Idle sputtering

Typically when my car is in idle, the car periodically sputters. But this is only when the car is idle'd in drive or park. When its in gear as I'm accelerating or driving there is no sputter and the car drives normally. Today i smoked the car through the intake and there's a very very small leak through a sensor of some sort near the engine and somewhat underneath. My car also reads a code for Fuel emissions leak very small. My mechanic the sputtering and the leak is from the DISA valve. Does this seem correct? And does anyone think the code is related to the valve?

I own a 2006 BMW 330i

I'm having sputtering recently too. Ill have to look into this. It's only at the stop lights, though, it seems. :/

Me too, only at the stop lights. Its more of a annoyance. It doesnt seem to actually affect the drive. i think if the price seems too high were just going to leave the problem until later.

I was also thinking if i can get a used Disa valve because it would be cheaper. Would that be okay? Because the valves are a bit pricey.
