I'm waiting for my bumper from the paint shop. I'm not sure if I can install it myself or have to go to the local shop for the exhaust.

Ryan,

I went to the shop yesterday to check out my car. They have to do serious of work to reposition the connecting part of the cat back. It took them more than double the amount of normal work time to get it done, which costed me more than double amount of money to get it installed, especially when the labor per hour is $95/hr here and considered that it took them hours to get everything done in the right way. I wish Kerscher would reimburse the extra cost for me to make their errors right!

Anyhow, other than that, everything is good. The rear apron's paint job done by DTMAutohaus is great. And I greatly appreciated Ryan's help on getting these great items. I am still waiting for the Hartge style front lip from Ryan too; hopefully it will be at my doorstep soon.

I will try to take some pics today if I am able to pick up my car from the shop this evening. Stay tune.

Could one of the Cat Back pipes be bent out a bit to make it fit? I know people can bend the pipe. It looks like to me that the Kerscher pipes should get ~ 1 inch more apart. Don't you think?

My shop tried to bend it with heat gun, it didn't work. So they actually cut a part of the new pipe and reposition them to widen the gap btw pipes, then welding them together. They did a clean job on them, works fine. You can probably find different ways to solve the problem.

btw, I assume that all the pipes fit well at the beginning without any modification. Do you still cut the OEM pipe to install the Kerscher? I thought the OEM was just bolted on, and when we install the Kerscher, we just unscrew the OEM. That way, we can put the OEM back anytime for the smog check later on.

I was surprised when I got the system too, I supposed it would fit well. Pretty disppointed on this too.
And no, the OEM is one COMPLETE system from the exhaust all the way to the front, not a single bolt in btw. Whether or not you have a catback system or just the muffler, you MUST cut the OEM one. At first I thought I just needed to unscrew the OEM and bolt on the new system, but its totally not. That's why I took it to a shop and have them do it for me.

Too bad. I think they weld the left pipe wrong. It's should be welded from the other end of the pipe. That way, it will have more 2" apart as shown in the doc1 attached.

For mine, I found a Flexible Exhaust kit at AutoZone for $5 and I believe it should do the job.

That would be cool if there was a DIY for the rear also. Planning on making one?
