Valve stem TPM on Canadian cars?

The valve stem on one of my tires won't take air or let air out. Does anyone know if the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) on Canadian 335i is on the stem or on the wheel? Know the part number?

No it's not. It's monitored by rotational resistance. I forget the exact system. You can use any valve stem

Good to know. I believe USA models have the sensor on the stem though.

Correct - USA models have a TPMS valve stem. The Canadian system will not measure exact PSI. It will only detect if the vehicle tire is flat or low.

I've also confirmed this with a tire guy at the dealership. The unit is part of ABS on Canadian models, stem on USA models.

Correct, ABS monitors it in Canada. Yay no extra charge for TPMS.
