Lease Gurus... Looking to order a new 335 shortly

I'm looking to order a 335 sometime soon mostly because they dont seem to have what I'm looking for on the lot anywhere and they keep trying to talk me into a steptronic which I wont have any part of. I'm looking to lease this car and I was wondering what you guys would think. I would need 15k miles a year and the term doesnt matter much to me. I just want to get the best possible payment on it.

Thanks in advance!

BTW, I'd be coming to the dark side from an audi.

This is what I pulled up on cars.com for what I'm looking for- $48,725 MSRP and $44,995 Invoice.

I'm not exactly a "Lease Guru" but I am also in the market for an E92 335i and have a lease calculator handy.

I'm sure someone will point out if I made a mistake, which I have been known to do!

It looks like Cars.com's invoice price is off a little bit. I am using the one from bimmerfest.

If I add in $1500 for dealer profit, which is fairly decent for US delivery, and use a moneyfactor of .00265 (Base + .0002 which splits the difference that dealers can charge). Your payment would be about $759.79 pre-tax for a 24mo/15k mi lease.

Obviously ED would be cheaper, looks like close to $120 cheaper. Multiple security deposits would further lower the payment too.

These numbers are with no money down, and not rolling the acquisition fee in. With the acquisition fee rolled in it would probably be another $30-$40 or so, depending on what the dealer charges for the fee.

Coupe Invoice
Base $37,535.00
Comfort $455.00
Heated Seats $455.00
Navi $1,910.00
iPod/USB $365.00
Premium $2,320.00
Sport $1,000.00

Destination $775.00
Dealer $1,500.00

$46,315.00

Residual %s for 15k miles are 68% for 24mo and 58% for 36mo.

Cap Residual Value Term Depreciation
$46,315.00 $33,133 24 $549.25
Cap Residual Value MF Interest
$46,315.00 $33,133.00 0.00265 $210.54

Base PMT
$759.79

Sorry excel doesnt paste into posts well.

*EDIT*
Added in package pricing and residuals that I used.

Thanks for the info. This is what I have been offered thus far by a local dealer-

36 month lease with 15k miles a year, sale price of $47865:

$2500 due at signing your payment including tax is $813
$5000 due at signing your payment including tax is $734

Seems to be high based on what I've been reading on the boards. This is based on all the options I posted in this thread except for heated seats because I'm still on the fence as to whether theyre necessary.

Mine was $45,6XX, $3000 cap reduction, $630/month, 36/mnths, 12K miles. I probably could've worked a better deal, but we were all in a hurry.

At a glance this looks high. Really need to find out what some of the other numbers are.

Is any of that 2500 going to cap cost reduction? A down payment isnt exactly a good thing to do, but multiple security deposits are. What moneyfactor are they giving you?

What is the acquisition fee, are they rolling it into your payment?

Looks like they are also giving you only 1k off MSRP? That's not that great at all.

Also another quick way to see if a lease is a good deal is just multiplying your payment by your term length, which would be $29,268. Take that and add the residual which should be about, $28,260, making it $57,528. With an MSRP of $48,725, that seems like an awful lot of interest they are charging. Keep in mind this way isnt scientific at all, and doesnt exactly tell you how good the deal is. It does give you a general idea though.

Okay, I can't comment on the 335xi lease anymore. I canceled my order for an M3. Dealer was not happy buy they made alot more $$$ on the M3 sale so they barely said anything. 335xi is still awesome! That is my #2 fav car!

Ok, I got a quote from another dealer that was lower and asked him the questions that you posted here, we'll see what he says. This is the info I've gotten so far-

With $5000 drives at 15k miles at 36 months it comes to 659 + tax. OAC

I'm not sure what OAC means though..

Oh, and here is a 3rd quote I forgot I had-

with $2,000 out of pocket we are looking at $723.56 plus tax on a 3 years lease.

They all kind of hover around that same set of numbers.

That seems pretty good to me. I havent come anywhere near those numbers locally with over 1k lower MSRP on the car I'm looking at. I might have to shed a couple options soon to get the price down. I dont really need heated seats or comfort access.
