Question 320D heavy clutch?

Guys...my 2006 320D drives fantastic...and gives good MPG as well, but the only issue I have is the clutch feels heavy ;( is there anything I could do to ease this a bit? or is it that all diesels have this issue?

Think all manual bmw's have a heavy clutch. Certainly found that on my 320D after having a Mk V Golf. Part of reason why i now have 330D auto!

I read on here that the clutch delay valve contributes to the heavy clutch and a lot of people prefer the feel of the clutch and clutch control with the valve removed or replaced with one that is modified... Was going to look into this on mine when I have the chance...

I've found the diesels are heavier than the petrols but I thought the CDV removal only made the gearbox less 'clunky' during gearchanges and made it easier for you to modulate the throttle against the clutch to make the change smoother....

I'm looking in to this too, fairly cheap job been quoted £30.

I recently drove a mates Alpina D3 and also noted the clutch was both very stiff/heavy and sharp, not at all progressive. Quite unpleasant really.
