As for the ratings, it has to be at least that of the automatic. Probably more because the Auto puts off much more heat and would wear faster then a manual.

but it depends on your driving style and if you shift good, if your grinding and slamming - all guesses go out the window because that's more of a driver inflicted injury, then a pure power issue.
Not so much driver as clutch clamping force.

It doesn't really matter how gingerly you drive your car, if the stock clutch doesn't have enough clamping force, it'll slip.

I had a 1997 C5 Corvette and installed a Magnacharger on it. I went from 345rwhp (with bolt-ons) to 435rwhp, so a 90whp jump.
Just rolling onto the throttle at highway speeds would cause the stock clutch to slip. Revs going up, not much movement forward.
A McLoud double disc clutch solved the problem.

I'm anticipating if this does pan out that the manual guys will have to upgrade their stock clutch.

Oh, and BTW, I have a 2000 VW Golf with 207,000 miles on it and I still have the original clutch in it.

Not trying to "hound' you Gavin, but why haven't you posted any pictures with the full install done??? All we've seen so far is the charger on a braket without a belt..Hell, I can do that with an old supercharger my dad has.

i think its better to wait and release all than to release in bits and pieces... full install doesn't mean anything. HPF did a full install but couldn't get past the tuning.

I agree it's easy to get a shop to set up all the parts/supercharger and install it. But getting the tune is the hard part, have to make sure performs correctly. Don't want to blow up the motor. LOL

so whats up with the install? you'd think there would be more details on something as groundbreaking as this....

Patience guys, Rome wasn't built in a day, and the tuning won't be completed either. You have to remember that Gavin has to invest $$$ into dyno time and fit in to the shop's dyno schedule. I very much doubt he can show up whenever he wants and have at it. This is probably why days go by without an update; I imagine he has to wait sometimes too.

However, Gavin can you share any info on injectors you've chosen? Size/Capacity or Brand? I'm hoping you're going the route of 6 new injectors vs. having 1 or 2 "add-ons". Idea of what kind of duty-cycle they'll be running?

What about the blower itself? Will it run along with the accessories belt or will it have it's own dedicated belt with a new crank pulley? (I wish this was the case, but i'm thinking not). Any chance you can re-design the stock crank pulley to accommodate the additional belt? No need to underdrive the accessories, and I certainly don't like doing it with the crank pulley either. I know I'm probably getting out of control here, but if you have the ability to go that route, maybe you'll go nuts and create a clutched supercharger pulley to conserve cruising gas mileage... I know, I'm dreaming...

EDIT: Just went back on FB to get caught up, never mind about the 6 vs. add-on injectors. That being said, I'm assuming there is no way to have 6 larger injectors putting out the same output as the OE 6 + your 2 add-ons? This would likely need custom tuning, correct?

If there is one thing to learn from MMW products it is that they take a long time to come out. I am sure he is working on this, we just have to wait and be patient. He does come out with products, it just takes a realllllllly long time.

This happens pretty much everytime, teaser released, ppl ask for details, big speech about taking time to do it right, dissappears, rinse and repeat

I have full confidence that Gavin is working on it, but this cycle is repetitive

agree 100%

i'm sure he's working on it the best he can, but it does dent credibility a bit when you're always hearing its almost done, teaser pics, but no actual finished product

He updates the MMW Facebook more than the forum. Don't be so quick to tar and feather the poor guy lol. I'm sure developing a RELIABLE SC kit and quality headers takes time, I know i sure as shit wouldn't take either on. Go add the fb.

making an accurate observation is not tar and feathering him... i'm sure he's quite sound in his design... but as a potential customer, it def does leave you wondering as to what exactly is going on...
