Hi all. I have a e93 2009 with cic factory fitted.
Recently my cd stopped working and hardrive music folder is greyed out.

I bought another hardrive but still have the same problem.
Radio still works,aux still works and maps still work.

Is there anything else I can try to fix the cic

If the cd/dvd drive fails would it stop the music folder from being accessed.?

I ran ista on it but couldn’t see any faults

Hey Mate, I know its a old thread, but just checking did you get to the bottom of this? Just got the exact same issue as you described...
Have had a look on other forums but theres not much to go by here.

If your maps still work on a CIC system this is unlikely to be an issue with the drive.

Internal electronics or connectors are more likely to blame and a new head unit may be in your future.
