Fake Lamborghini

So I went golfing with my friends, and there happened to be a wedding at the golf course. After I parked, as my friends and I were walking to the golf course we saw an orange Lamborghini Aventador. My friends had never seen one, so we decided to go check it out. There was 4 of us including me. Me and my friend were car people, while other two weren't. As we got closer to the lambo, my car friend asked, "do you feel like something's not right?" and I said, "ya...somethings wrong..." So we got a closer look. There was also a wedding photographer there taking pics of the car. We asked if it was his, but he said no it was his friend's. He then gave us permission to take pics of the car if we wanted to. My two non-car-friends were taking pictures like crazy. After I got a closer look, my car friend and I started laughing. After we left we told our 2 non-car friends that their pics are worthless, because it's a replica. Nice effort though! Almost fooled me from a distance!

Here you go!
Shape was totally out of whack.

That front looks weird and way off.

Cheapass spoiler, wrong tail lights, wrong exhaust pipe, fake vents etc.

Wrong rims, wrong tires, and wrong brakes. Can't even see the calipers.

The biggest culprit of all! CUP HOLDERS! He even made the effort to put "aventador" on the seats. Any idea what this replica was built on top of? EDIT: Pontiac GTO

Well I gotta say.....A for effort.

Edit:
My friend took a video of it and posted it on instagram.

http://instagram.com/p/cAzRRNMSXr/

Edit:
My friend found out who built it. It is built by Z and M Customs.

Based off of a Pontiac GTO, GM chassis and LS1 motor 400 horsepower
A gallery on Jalopnik lol
http://jalopnik.com/5945944/lamborgh...plica-gallery/

Edit:
$45,000 for this shit??? WTF?
http://www.carscoops.com/2012/09/thi...eplica-is.html

Now, THIS is how a replica should look like. Cost only $20,000 too.
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...4221671&type=3

This one probably would have fooled me.

It does look pretty good for a replica. A+ for the time, effort and money put into it. Might be able to fool some chicks with this.

Does look pretty sharp for a replica. Happy the owner spent the time to cover the drums. No negative points for cup holders. The spoiler could be better like you said... Grade: A for execution.

There are a lot of these going around lately. Most were using the older camaro and eclipse.

The first thing I thought of was FRS.
The caliper-less brakes are a hoot. Wonder if those came with cross-drilled brake lines.

Wow. It takes a lot of time & money to make an Eclipse look like that...which begs the question: why leave the mirrors entirely untouched? And why add an extra vent to the front bumper that isn't in the original design? Think its just there so that those hat know can catch on quicker?

Effort score: A-. If he makes the mirrors suit the rest of the car, paints some of the front end matte black, and rids himself of the give-away spoiler, I'd move him to an A+. Overall, impressive work though...I know I couldn't do it (also wouldn't do it)

Wheel base is way way way short, almost like a Fiero kit with an extended front fascia. Rear hatch leading towards the bumper is way too raised, almost like the hatch line of an Elise. The only thing that actually matches are exterior definitions like the tail lights. Even the front bumper seems to be way overly exaggerated.

Regardless, it should only fool those who don't know much about vehicles. If it takes any more than a first look, then there needs to be some re-evaluation.

The brakes are the biggest joke of the whole thing. Jesus Christ I'm on the fucking floor, this is too much.

For what it's worth, it's built off a late model Pontiac GTO. I recognized the interior, and with an LS motor it's a dead giveaway. Faking the funk never looked so terrible

I'm impressed with the detailing anyway. Looks way off obviously with the totally wrong dimensions but overall this is a fantastic effort in comparison to most of the cheap replicas that litter the roadways...

Yep, you're absolutely right. It's a GTO.

Like something a bunch of very talented 10 year olds did. Good execution, but no real value - unless you're one of their moms.

I would buy this for my 16 year old son. If he wrecks it I wouldnt cry and he would be able to pull chicks with that like crazy. The Child in me approves this. But the Car Enthusiast in me is offended.

I like the fake big brake rotors bolted between the wheel and the hub or built into the wheels covering the real brakes!
