Dme Connector Wont Come Out/slide Out!!!
Has this happened to anyone???
I tryed installing JB2H today everything went smooth untill i reached to the part where you have to slide the Slider/Connector out and pull up so the connector comes out the DME. COULD NOT DO IT, I TRYED MAYBE LIKE 20+ TIMES. it would slide out to about half an inch and it wont move after in any position just slide back in! i even tryed to slide it out by a lil' force and still Nothing! Anyone has any ideas? of what the hell is going on. LOL Thank's, -Bes. (Off to Sleep Now)

Look at it carefully and see what is causing it to jam in there...since it out half inch, it really should continue to come out...examine the connector again to see whats the problem!

By the looks of the newly attached image, it appears you are referring to the passenger side slide. If so, did you lift up on the DME to raise it enough for that slider to clear the compartment edge?

I think he meant which side is the connector on. You need to pull the whole ECU out slightly (maybe 1" or so) so the larger slider has more room to slide out otherwise it can be tough to slide it out far enough to enable the connector to come off.

I dont think i tryed to pull the whole DME out, to give it room...but i dont think i needed much room to pull it out more then half an inch...i mean there is enough room for about 2inches to come out and after i guess you'd have to pull it up and slide it out some more. But it wont move! half an inch and TAHTS it.

Have you tried pushing down on the DME connector while pulling the slide out?
If not, please try that.

I had a bunch of trouble with that same clip last nite !!! it took about 15 mins fiddling with it. You need to apply more force pulling out and be careful about the verticle force u put on it. When the latch is fully extended it will hit the white ecu box so you cant get it out completely unless u stretch the box or move the ecu up higher. Also, when you release the slider out, the connector will move up away from the ecu. So if youre pushing down on the connector at the same time, it will make it harder to slide out.

it only slides out a little bit and then u lift the entire connector off of the ecu. the slider doesn't fully detach

hey guys,
while attaching the small connector back to the ECU, i tried doing with the slider in but not in all the way, and it didn't work for some reason, i figure i had to put in more force because i did that with the bigger connector and it went in with the slider. So since the smaller connector didn't go in at first with the slider, i took the slider out and attached the connector to the ECU thinking that I could slide in the slider after. But now i can't put the slider in and the connector is locked to the ECU so i can't even pull it back up to put the slider back in it. So basically i made the mistake of connecting back the connector with out the slider being in it, and now it is stuck and won't come off the ECU and the slider won't slide back in. Can someone help me plz?

As others probably said...
release the actual ECU from the tabs holding it down, you will be able to pull up the ECU an inch or two. After doing this you can easily remove both connectors. You'll do the same when connecting the "connectors" again... |

You should not be using a flat head screwdriver to get those sliders out.
You should only be using your hands so you don't break anything.
