I live in Alpharetta and just got a new 335i sedan last week. I am planning on getting a Procede installation within the year after a couple of thousand of miles get put on this beast.

I live off of the Windward Parkway exit off GA-400 and would be interested in meeting up with all of you as well. Let me know if a date and time gets put together.

I am trying to find a local shop to work with for window tinting and possibly my first Procede installation since I am worried about screwing up my car.

i'll ask around the techs in the shop to see if any of them do any work on the sly. we have an excellent tint company we use at global. i will get their name and respond here when i get it. i say we all get together some saturday night and find some nice hilly curvy road to hit!! my next door neighbor has a 2000 540i sport with some dinan upgrades and i know he would love to get in on some driving action. c'mon guys, several of us in the north ATL, let's get together some saturday soon........ps i got my 328i sport up to 130 today easily on I-75, gotta love it all i can say is DAMN I LOVE MY BMW!!!! :rocks:

Cool, maybe Saturday July 21 or 28. I am interested in driving the Tail of the Dragon, but we wouldn't have to do that on this get together. I haven't looked into how many hours of driving that involves, etc. I also know a guy with an M5 and Dinan exhaust that might want to join us.

We just need to map out a drive (can be quick or long, whatever everyone has time for) and set the date, meeting place and time. Any ideas on the driving route/location? Also, we should start a new thread in the Southeast section once we pick the date and label it July __ Get Together.

Hi Guys. Just saw this thread. I'm in Dunwoody myself.

I'm planning a mini run next Sunday (July 8th) with some colleagues. We'll be going on a 3-4 hour (7:30 AM to approx 12 noon) drive up through the North Georgia mountains / Helen / Blairsville. There will be a couple of Carreras (997 C2S and 996 Turbo), E92 335, E90 335 (mine), and a Ford Shelby GT 500. Here's a map of the mini route we're doing. PM me if you guys want to caravan with us.

I see that you need help with a Procede install. If there's no interest from the tech's at Global, let me know. I can do the install for you.

I performed the installation on my own E90 about 2 weeks ago and also know how to perform the serial port to USB DIY. I can drop the USB cable into your glovebox for in-cabin monitoring / map updates.

i would go with this fella for the procede install. i am fairly certain the techs at global would be a little leary about doing this but i will ask tomorrow... i would love to do any driving in my new 328!!!

Wish I would've posted about this drive earlier. We could've made a nice day-long itinerary up in the North GA mountains. Next month, we can do another longer drive if everyone's up for it.

yeah i'm very excited. this is my first bmw, actually it's my first new car and i am loving it more and more all the time. are we working on a run of the tail of the dragon on the 28th? I would definetly be in on that too.

We can take a ride up to the dragon, but I won't be able to do it in July. I have some family and college obligations that I can't get out of. I've actually wanted to drive up there during the fall while the leaves are changing color. Makes for some really scenic driving. That would put us out to Sept/Oct though. Also, the only caveat with the dragon is that we're best off making the run on a weekday. The motorcycles tend to dominate it during the weekends and the area is crowded.

If you and the others have time and want to go in July, I'd go for it.

The thread that I referenced earlier has all the info you'd need to setup the drive.

Good point. I haven't run the dragon during the fall yet. Will be sure to watch out for debris on the roads. I imagine running it in the rain is also pretty slippery.
