My sort of pad

!

Supercar owners living in an exclusive new high-rise apartment block can keep a close eye on their beloved motors thanks to a special elevator that allows them to park in their living rooms.
Hamilton Parks in Singapore is a brand-new 30-storey development where flats cost between £6 and £15million. But with parking in the city limited, the skyscraper designer came up with an innovative way of parking some of the planet's fastest cars.
Residents simply drive their 200mph motors into a biometrically-controlled lift at the base of Hamilton Parks on the city's swanky Orchard Road.

That is pretty cool but as Roger mentioned having to get out the car ruins it for me.

I suppose if you were pissed off with the wife you could lock her in the car and sit in the living room grinning at ther as she tries to get out of the 30 story high garage with no doors or barriers to the lift shaft

But then thinking about it 'angry wife+£450k wort of super cars to damage = upper hand for her'

Also. How annoying would it be if you left your phone/bag/sunglasses in the car

I am sure that you can access your car from your living room otherwise this system will be a failure.
However due to health and safety reasons (and this system can fail anytime and you could be stuck in the car for hours), it is not advisable to stay in the car when it is being transferred to your parking lot.

There is another video on youtube where they transfer merc to a parking space in towns' under ground car park.

Isn't that true for any lift in any building though? or even any security barriers or gates in any car park?

To be fair I diddn't look too close for evidence of not being able to access the car I just got carried away with how to use it for evil

Like at Christmas when it was snowing a blizzard and all she did was look sadly through the window. Eventually I had to let her back in.

For that money I would want a proper house with a very large garage. Not a flat where I have to park in my living room.

Mate of mine has a swanky apartment right in the center of Grainger town Newcastle and his car park has a drive in lift. He doesn't have to get out there? The panel to select a floor is even at car window level so you can reach out the window and press a button ..

Thinking about it, it's got to be. I'm sure I read it was the only GTO in Singa.

You lot must have seen the taxi vid? Where he slams Into another taxi at over 100mph in a 30 zone.

With the car being in your living room it would make OBD thefts a thing of the past

I was thinking that. Or what happens if you need to go out in a hurry and have to wait for others to finish using the lift.

If you had that kind of money I doubt you would be driving a BMW with a "steal-me" OBD port.
