Light scratches on black trim

Does anyone else have light scratches on the glossy black trim on the outside of the coupe? It's the glossy black trim that's in between the back windows and the front windows. What's the best way to buff this out?

Pretty much any kind of polish. I think I used FPII on a white pad last time.

It's inevitable that you'll get fine scratches. At least you don't have the aluminum trim where it gets dented by people who let their seat belts fling back (primarily passengers of E92 cars).

just don't have them wash your car! it's free, but they find a way to scratch or put swirls on your car

Dude, i know... what happened is when i brought my car in for a patch on my rear tire, they ended up washing the car. The thing was, I just washed the car (it was sparkling and shining)...i didnt think they would wash it, or at the very least...ask me if thats what i wanted done... ESPECIALLY since this was the first time i had brought my car in for service.

they ended up putting numerous superficial scratches in the paint, including the trim in which this thread is speaking of...not to mention SCRATCHING my rim on almost every spoke. Brilliant work...

only took em 45 minutes

don't assume they won't wash it...I always reiterate to the service guy to "NOT WASH THE CAR" I make it a point to bring it up at least twice, or make the guy clearly write it on the invoice...it happened to me also when I had my Audi
