Gauging interest 335i Borla Exhaust with secondary cat delete

Hi guys,

I'm going back to the standard exhaust system on my 335i next weekend so I'm looking to sell the exhaust system I've got on it now.

It is a Borla catback stainless steel touring exhaust welded onto the standard 335i mid section with the secondary cats removed and 4" tips welded on it. The exhaust has a few small dents on it but nothing major. I've only got a pic of the exhaust when I bought it and the tips:

And a link to the exhaust new:

http://www.borla.com/products/produc...rod_sku=140228

I'm asking £150 due to the slight wonkiness of the tips (could be adjusted by an exhaust fitter) or £200 installed.

Might be interested in the exhaust if you could get some pics of the dents up please :-) and gonna have to listen to a few on YouTube. What's the reason for selling mate?

There's not many videos on youtube although I can take a video of it on mine but I've got cat-less downpipes. I'm changing it because with all my mods (downpipes, JB4, dual cone intakes, recirc valves) it is a bit too loud of my liking. On a standard car it sounds nice especially with the secondary cat removed.

I can fit it and you can see if if you like it. If not I'll swap it back for the installation cost.

There't a dent on the backbox and one of the pipes leading to the tailpipes.

How loud are we talking?

Any drone on the Motorway?

I'm catless DPs too, is there a way to just use the rear section thereby keeping the stock mid pipes and 2ndary cats?

It could be to cut and welded onto your own system. At steady speed it isn't too bad but it really growls when you put your foot down. It has an x-pipe like the standard exhaust which helps with eliminating drone.

When it is off the car I'll see if I can grind the 2 welds joining to the midpipes off so that it can be split into pieces like in the first pic.

As far as the 325 conversion is concerned, you're probably better off with a fully custom system IMO.

Hi,

I'm based in Birmingham and for the exhaust fully fitted it is £200. It will fit the 335i coupe as that's what it is currently on.

Or still too loud.

Hi,

what modifications would it need to fit a 325i (3.0) e93 convertible?

Mainly a completely different rear bumper/diffuser and some alternative mountings etc.

Could be possible though and this exhaust is CHEAP so spend what you save here on the conversion.

With the secondary cats still in fine, without too loud.

Guys bit of a delay on this because the standard exhaust hangers are currently on backorder with BMW. As soon as I get them I'll update this thread.

Sorry guys, have to keep the exhaust or get rid of the no lift as I risk destroying the cats on the stock one. So decided to keep it for now...

If I change my mind I'll be in contact with all those interested
