Creating MP3 CD from a regular CD???

Ok guys, I need your help. I want to take all my CD's and make 1 MP3 CD out of them. But my problem is, I dont know how to make songs from a regular CD into MP3s. Can anyone help me with this?
I tried searching, but didnt find anything on how to create a MP3 CD from a regular CD.

well copy them to your computer using itunes or windows media player.

I know how to do it with itunes you just open itunes and insert your CD,
-is going to ask you if you want to import all the songs from the CD ( you can choose the ones that you like)
-after you import the songs and all of your CD's that you have
-create a new playlist and add all the songs that you want in your new mp3 cd
-insert a blank CD click the playlist and click burn and that it

Pd: make sure itunes knows that you want to create MP3 CD's go to edit > preferences > advance > burning > and click MP3 CD

(if you have idrive you can choose Data CD or DVD so you can create an mp3 dvd's)

Or.... get winamp and install it. Go to the media library, click rip, select rip all tracks (set the appropriate options, bitrate and directory), and it will turn the files from .cda (files on the CD) to .mp3. Then burn them as data files on another disc (depending on bitrate you'll fit ~150-200 mp3s on a regular cd).

well itunes will convert them from cda to mp3 went you import them

ahhhh

easy, just pop in the cd-r into the burner. open the drive(go to my computer and open that drive, the one that will burn the cd), make subfolders if you'd like ( for pop,rap etc) and drag your song files into those folders. once you've added your 600mb with of mp3's look to the left it'll say "write these files" or something to that nature, when prompted, select data (which will keep these files as MP3 format and viola!!! run outside pop the cd in and read the manual theres a way to scan through folders or just use the right scroll knob!

+1 to what he said. There are many rip tools out there (some are shareware some are free). Since you seems to be new at this, just download a few ripping tools and give it a try. Play with the options, bit rates and what not and see how it works. Ripping is fairly safe so just try it out. GL

I'm old school, I guess. I typically extract the CD tracks into Wav files onto my hard drive using Exact Audio Copy, an excellent freeware easily downloadable. Then I use a LAME encoder (also available in freeware) and code the files to MP3 using variable speed (192-320), 320 kbps main code setup and the highest quality setting. This is a bit slow and tedious, I admit, but the quality is very close to WAV (source) files. The 320 kbps MP3 files are about double the size of 128 kbps encoded ones, but sure sound better. (I don't much care for the quality of 128 kbps audio, like itunes- sounds thin and rough to me, even in the car) These 320-code files are about 10x smaller than the WAV source. Then I use a Roxio audio software to burn songs to the CD. I get about 120 normal songs to a CD and the car (07' 328i) plays them just fine.
