Thinking about getting a 335i but what if i get HPFP failure without warranty?

How much does it usually cost for it to fix and how many have a 335i without warranty?

Can we get an official count on HPFP threads? Not being a smart ass...just like to know...

1. This problem has apparently been resolved. Just make sure the N54 motor you buy has the most current model HPFP in it.

2. If you had to pay for it out of pocket and do it yourself (there is a DIY on here), I think the pump cost like $400 from Tischer. So not that big a deal anyway...

people don't even search or post in the right sections anyway but I do agree that some people should research more before making blind posts of subjects that have been answered for years

There's a service bulletin out on the HPFP (and a few other parts) that the dealership should take care of no matter what. If you buy it used from a reputable dealership, they should have already taken care of this for you and installed the updated HPFP.

If you're implying the 335 you're looking at has in excess of 100k I would definitely not look into this matter. Don't buy.

I don't think that's what he meant. We'll see what he says maybe he can clear it up.

That's the chance you take. Pay to play bro.
If you're gonna mod, and expect to get service at a dealer, just get in cool with an SA, or switch to map 0 / remove any "service affecting" mods when servicing.
Is it a pain in the ass? Yes.
Is a JB4 with downpipes worth it? FUCK yes.
Will you never know when your O2 sensor is gonna eat it / fail emissions inspection? FUCK yes.
My rule of thumb: mod and carry a big shed- you'll need it to store all of your OEM parts in case shit happens.
Enjoy the car.
