Philips D1S 6700k Short Review

So after seeing a couple of shots of these from an m3post thread I decided that I liked the color of these so I picked a set up from Derrick@E92-Lighting. I can say there is a little bit of output lost as expected but the color is beautiful and perfect for me.
On the floor they light up pure white, I can not tell any hints of blue but maybe just a tad hint of purple. The main reason I didn't buy 6000k bulbs was bc I didn't want that hue of blue and I didn't get any of that here. But honestly I can see stuff a little more clearer since it has more of a white color instead of that little bit of oem yellow. Aesthetically, it is way better. I may have lost a bit of output on the sides but I still have very good output directly in front of me. I know I am going to get , and I didn't really want to post any pics since my camera really sucks but here is one shot that I was somewhat able to get. The output looks less in the photo because my bad camera couldn't pick up all of the light and I believe I read somewhere the light gets more "fuller" after some usage time and this pic was taken when the bulbs had about a couple minutes running time since installed lol. Don't let my bad pic turn you guys away from this product because it is one of my favorite mods I have done. Here is the link that actually got me interested which has 1000x better pics. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=399921
Anyways if you guys are interested give E92-Lighting a PM because these sell out quick and he just got a batch in stock. Thanks again Derrick!

Updated: Took a pic while stopped at a light because this color is amazing. It's not the normal 6000k hint of blue you normally see but its a mix of blue and purple which I think looks way better.

I have the 6700s. They are spot on with my OSS man Only small gripe is the light distribution is not as uniform as the stock xenons, but the stock D1S's look like with the OSS. Eh.

Everything will pop right out at you. Remember the higher the number the more blue then purple you will see when looking at the bulb.

OP... what production year is your car? I have been through two different sets of D1S bulbs (won't mention any names) and both sets have shorted out my ballasts requiring replacement of the ballasts. I have a late 2007 production model. I know the '06 and '07 prod models are really touchy when it comes to changing the bulbs.

I would also like to know since I have an 07 e92 and thinking about purchasing the Philips Ultinon or XenStart.

My Philips 8500k look almost identical to your pics C Jeong89,especially the second pic.

They definitely start up with a bluish/purplish tint, but once they're warm they have a beautiful icy white with hints of blue and purple(depending on the angle).

I love my bulbs.
