It'll the latest 2013 Maps DVD for the CCC Navigation system

CCC = Car Communication Computer
CIC = Car Infotainment Computer

The main difference is that CIC has internal hard drive for example for navigation maps. So CCC and CIC are totally different units.

I believe its 2009+ models have CIC which now get updated through a USB for the 2013 Maps. For the CIC you usually have to go through BMW or Tischer

The navigation system will warn you when you're near a red light camera, traffic speed camera, or common speed traps.

Besides the red light cameras and updated maps, which is obv worth the update. What else is different to lets say my 2008 version of maps. I was reading on a website it has night mode?

Can you still change splash screens like the old E46 nav systems could?

I'm pretty sure you cannot change the splash screen like on previous models.

So amped to get this, 2 weeks ago I got lost in RI because my 08 didn't have the new roads that were put in. Also once I get are the speed traps already turned on or do I have to turn them on?

Just wanna say been using this DVD for week now and its very nice!
Thumbs up to Reketjr for helping me out! Red light camera and speed trap icons are very cool! And of course the 2013 maps is up to date.
